About the event

Sunday, July 14 - “Back To Basically” 

  • At 2:30pm, the first Rising Star of the festival on July 14th will be pianist Jack Roueche playing the 1st movement of Beethoven's Sonata No. 4, in E♭ major, Op. 7, as well as the 1st movement of Rachmaninoff's Sonata No. 2, Op. 36, and Ravel's La Valse
  • July 14th’s Featured Performers are Lakeway Chamber Players & Friends, with Jen Betz and Sari Pearce, violin, Anna Kolotylina, viola; Andrew Pearce, cello; and Daniel Anastasio, piano, playing Beethoven's String Quartet No. 11 in F minor, Op. 95, and Dvořák's Piano Quintet No. 2 in A major Op. 81

Parking: 

  • In the Lexus Silver Parking Garage (the parking garage UNDER Moody), parking will be $12. BBF24 Patrons can use cash or credit card. The exit gate for Lexus Silver will stay open, patrons can exit without issue.
  • There are several parking lots close to Moody- please see the FAQ page on our website for a helpful graphic. Our concert is free, but you might have to pay for parking.

DART:

  • Please consider riding DART - the DART Pearl/ Arts District Station is within walking distance and on all four rail lines

This year’s festival is again sponsored in large part by a generous designated gift from Capital One. Additional designated funds and operational funds are thanks to The City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture, The Arts Community Alliance (TACA), Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA), Moody Fund for the Arts,  as well as numerous gifts from our individual patrons and collaboration from community partners including DART. FACP/ Basically Beethoven relies solely on grants and donations for its funding, as its mission is to provide absolutely free concerts and music education for all.
